Here are the details:

Subject to availability of funds and District priorities, the Southwest Management District (the “District”) offers limited financial support to community groups and nonprofit organizations for projects that improve the area.
The District’s goal is to use existing resources to improve the well-being, safety, and overall quality of life in the community. By providing such assistance, the District aspires to increase community participation and foster a renewed sense of community identity and vision.

How to apply

1. Read the District’s Event Sponsorship and Community Development Funding Support Policies and Procedures. Applicants may consult with District staff if they have questions or require assistance.

2. Complete the appropriate Application Form and attach all required supplementary information.

3. At least 60 days before the event or activity, submit the completed form and supporting materials to the District Staff by email at [email protected].

4. The application must also be submitted at least 7 business days before the Business & Economic Development Committee Meeting. Meeting dates can be found here.

5. District Staff will review the application and supplementary materials and may contact the applicant with additional questions. Once staff confirms that the application conforms to all policies and procedures, it will be placed on the Business & Economic Development Committee Meeting agenda.

6. The Business & Economic Development Committee will review and discuss the application. The applicant is required to attend the Committee Meeting where their application is presented. The Committee may request additional information or ask the applicant to amend the application. If approved by the Committee, the application will be placed on the Board of Directors Meeting agenda.

7. The Board of Directors will review and discuss the application. The Board may request additional information or amendments. If approved by the Board, the applicant must submit an invoice to [email protected] for processing. A check will be processed at the following month’s Board of Directors meeting.

The program encourages businesses, organizations, and community groups to host creative events and activations that celebrate the global spirit of the tournament while showcasing and promoting the Southwest District.

Deadline for submission: April 15. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
