Southwest District

You've Been Randomly Selected

This is an awareness program—not a ticket or fine.

You've been randomly selected as part of the Southwest Management District's BMV (Burglary of Motor Vehicle) Prevention Program. Our goal is to reduce vehicle break-ins by reminding drivers to remove valuables and secure vehicles.

Congratulations! You passed.

That means you had no visible items, your windows and doors were closed, and the inspector found nothing that could attract a vehicle break-in.

Great job taking the right steps to protect your vehicle and our community.

Remember:
• Lock doors, windows up
• Park in well-lit, high-traffic areas
• Nothing in plain sight (even empty bags/cords)

Your vehicle did not pass this time.

During inspection, the officer noticed one or more risk factors that could invite a break-in — such as valuables left in plain view, a window slightly open, or another noted concern.

Please take a moment to remove visible items, close all windows, and lock your doors. These small actions make a big difference in preventing theft and keeping our community safe.
