METRO has launched a newRIDEMETRO Fare Systemon Monday 1/7/2026.This new fare system offers much more benefits:

1. Riders can now use the new fare validators to pay with credit/debit cards,mobile devices,the RideMETRO app(virtual card),paper QR tickets,and RideMETRO fare cards.
2. Flash Pass mobile tickets remain valid through February 2nd.
3. METRO is no longer selling METRO Q® Fare Cards,but existing cards can still be used and reloaded online or in the app.
4. Screenshots of QR codes are not valid—QR codes must be scanned directly from the app or ticket.
5. Riders can purchase new RideMETRO fare cards at RideStores,online,or at new ticket vending machines.
