Learn how to access Census Data for Gulfton. We will cover updates on the 2020 Census, but will mostly focus on the American Community Survey (ACS), an ongoing survey that provides vital information on a yearly basis. From the ACS data we can answer questions such as: Where are people living without vehicles? What percentage of Gulfton is speaking a language other than English? What are the income/poverty levels of our community?

Topics include:

  • Census geography & Why Census Data is important
  • American Community Survey: What it is, what data it gives us, differences from 2020 Census
  • Accessing Census Data in Gulfton via live demo using ACS Narrative Profiles and data.census.gov
