Teens have been destigmatized to sexting. In fact, the production of child pornography has been practically normalized. In this presentation, we will discuss why students are actively choosing to send sexually intimate material and the importance of not only discussing the legality of this but also the social and emotional consequences.
Calls to the Houston Area Women’s Center Domestic Violence hotline have increased by at least 40% over the last 6 months. Safe Community Manager, Sydney Zuiker, will discuss the signs, dangers, and potential outcomes of domestic violence while also bringing awareness to the subject and emphasizing the importance of reporting.
