On May 28, 2020 local members of the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women in Southern USA donated 500 meals and 2,500 surgical masks to Harris County Sheriff’s Office staff at the downtown Harris County Jail in coordination with the Southwest Management District and the Asian-Americans Salute Frontline Heroes project. Many GFCBW members run businesses in the county’s unincorporated area, where sheriff’s deputies patrol. Thanks to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez for the welcome!
