Employment is a key driver for a thriving city and a powerful deterrent to crime. Recognizing this, we created District J Jobs a few years ago, specifically targeting a district with the highest employment rate but the lowest median income. Our goal was to address this disparity by providing access to meaningful employment opportunities and necessary training resources.
Building on the success of District J Jobs, we wanted to expand our efforts to ensure all Houstonians are aware of available job opportunities. This vision led to the creation of More Jobs Houston, a comprehensive platform designed to serve the entire city.
