According to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Thaddeus Allen, 34, showed up for the April 10 start of his trial in Houston on human trafficking charges — but not for the end on April 24, when he was convicted and sentenced to 75 years in prison.
Now he may have resumed his work as a “pimp” in the southwest part of the Houston area, and anyone who sees him should call 9-1-1 and report him, according to authorities.
Allen had posted a $200,000 bail bond before the trial, so he was responsible on his own for attending his trial every day. Now authorities are searching for him.
“We stand with the victims,” District Attorney Kim Ogg said. “And the women that this man abused and terrorized now have to live in fear because he just walked away from justice.”
Assistant District Attorneys Lucas Baty and Tim Goodwin of the DA’s Trafficking/Exploitation Division prosecuted the case with the assistance of the Houston Police Department Human Trafficking Division and the Digital Forensic Investigations Unit of the DA’s Office.
“He was a liar and convicted thief before he was convicted for trafficking,” Baty said. “We showed the jury that he had at least 10 convictions and judgments from 2008 to 2018 when he was arrested on this charge.”
