The Southwest Management District is proud to host its 3rd Annual “Boba with a Cop” event on Friday, December 6th, from 10 AM to 1 PM, at Diho Square on 9100 Bellaire Blvd. This event combines meaningful community engagement, essential services, and family-friendly fun—all in one place.

Unlike the usual “Coffee with a Cop,” this event reflects the district’s diverse community by offering complimentary boba tea, a popular drink in the district’s largely Asian demographic. But there’s more than just tea on the table—this event brings together law enforcement, local officials, and practical services for property owners in a way that makes a real impact.

What’s Happening at the Event?

  • Connect with Local Law Enforcement:
Meet officers from HPD, S.W.A.T., and the Mounted Patrol. Families will enjoy seeing the Mounted Patrol’s horses, making it a fun experience for kids while fostering a closer connection between residents and law enforcement.
  • Trespass Affidavit Assistance:
Property and business owners will have the opportunity to learn about and complete Trespass Affidavits—a crucial tool in protecting private property. Filing this affidavit annually allows law enforcement to enforce trespassing laws on private property. To assist in filing this affidavit, the district will have hard copies of the form available, a notary on-site, staff that will assist with filling out the form and answering questions, and clear instructions on where and how to file the completed affidavit. This service is especially valuable for those who may face language barriers or are unfamiliar with the process.
  • Free Shredding Services:
Business and property owners can safely dispose of sensitive documents with the on-site shredding truck. Each vehicle can bring up to five boxes of materials for secure disposal, free of charge.
  • “Take, Lock, Hide” Sign Distribution:
Property owners can pick up free signs to encourage theft prevention by reminding visitors to secure their belongings.
  • Special Guests:

Expect to see appearances by local public officials and a special visit from Chinatown influencer Ding Ding, who will document the event and highlight the district’s efforts.

Why It Matters
