STOA Architects, a firm based in the Southwest Management District, has won an award from the Houston Business Journal (HBJ) for “community impact.”
The award cites the firm’s work on Fort Bend Epicenter in Rosenberg, Texas.
According to HBJ, the $123 million facility next to the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds “is seen as a catalyst for community, culture and commerce. It can host a variety of events, including graduations, sports and recreation, spectator events, community/civic events, livestock and equestrian shows, festivals and fairs, and conferences.”
Fort Bend Epicenter also was built to serve as a mass shelter during catastrophes such as hurricanes.
The Southwest Management District salutes STOA Architects for its achievement as the district’s service area continues to attract outstanding businesses.
