The Greater Houston Partnership and the Asian Chamber of Commerce invite you to participate in our upcoming visit to China as part of the 6th annual China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, China’s largest commercial and financial center, from November 5 to November 8, 2023, in collaboration with YuRise Foundation and Southern Jiangsu Association USA.
The visit will also include stops in Suzhou and Nanjing from November 2 to November 4. Suzhou, known as the Venice of the East, is one of the richest cities in China, while Nanjing, the capital of the Jiangsu province, recorded $1.9 trillion (USD) in GDP in 2022, the second highest in China.
In addition to FDI recruitment, targeted business sectors include products and services for exports in financial services (including banking, insurance, and asset management), consulting services (including design, information technology, inspection and testing, real estate, and health), legal services, logistics, supply chain management, comprehensive services, culture, tourism, education, and entertainment and licensing.
In 2018 and 2019, the Partnership previously led a delegation to attend the first and second CIIE Shows held in Shanghai, one of the largest cities in China by population and a major global financial hub. The delegation met with various Chinese companies with business ties to Houston and those who were interested in investing in the Houston region. |
