On Tuesday, April 20th, Council Member Thomas presented a proclamation to Reverend Rhett Caviel of McGee Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in recognition of his distinguished community service amid the ongoing pandemic and recent winter storm.
 
 
 

Hackberry Park Update

 
The Parks Department continues to work diligently to clear the lines connecting the ponds to assure a constant level pond system. Once this has been completed, sidewalks will be cleared of all debris/mud.

(along Westpark Dr)

Chelford City Diversion Pkg. 1- R-000536-024A-4 (Along Westpark Dr from West Houston Center Blvd to Dairy Ashford Rd)

  • At Dairy Ashford Rd and Westpark Dr: shaft construction is anticipated to start the week of 04/30/21. There will be lane closures.
  • Substantial completion is anticipated on 09/08/21.

Chelford City Diversion Pkg. 1 – R-000536-024-4 (Along Westpark Dr West of Dairy Ashford)

  • Construction is in progress with anticipated substantial completion on 05/03/2022.

The City of Houston is providing 50 YARDS of mulch for the trees that were planted in Harwin Park. Rain or shine, help is needed in spreading this mulch.Requirements:  Mask, social distancing, closed-toe shoes.
Some shovels will be available, but if you have one, please bring it!
 
 
The City of Houston invites job seekers to the Turnaround Houston Readiness Fair, held virtually on Thursday, April 29 through Sunday, May 2. Job seekers can chat live with hiring employers and resource organizations from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Thursday. To register, click here and choose Turnaround Houston from the drop-down menu.
