DISTRICT F OFFICE

THE PEOPLE’S CHAMP

April is National Volunteer Month and community service events are in full force in District F.

This past Saturday, Sewa International – Houston ChapterTzu Chi Foundation, and Yahweh Outreach Ministries each held food distributions in District F and we cannot thank them enough for their enduring commitment to our community.  We would also like to give a big shout out to Mayor Turner for his attendance at Sewa’s distribution and to Lt. Timothy Trometer, Sgt. Tavis Parkerson, and officers of Westside’s DRT Unit for providing traffic control at Yahweh Outreach Ministries’ distribution. And finally, none of this would be possible without all of the dedicated volunteers, including Southwest Management District’s Alice Lee and former District F staffer (and current District C staffer) Ngan Nguyen. In all, over 60,000 lbs of food were distributed to over 2,000 families.

Please consider volunteering at community service events, such as food distributions, in your community.

We would like to give a special thank you to Annie Trinh and everyone at the International Management District for assisting our office with airing a public service announcement regarding vaccination events on Radio Saigon 900 AM this week!  In striving towards our goal of health equity, we are grateful to have partners such as IMD.
