Friends,
As we find ourselves in the midst of this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many of our residents are still in need of basic essentials including food. We have recently been blessed by the generosity from stakeholders within District J with the opportunity to facilitate and coordinate a food distribution.
The food distribution will be held on May 30th from 11 am – 1 pm, or until supplies last, at PlazAmericas Mall 7500 Bellaire Blvd, and there will be both drive-thru and walk-up opportunities.
If you choose to drive-thru with your vehicle the ONLY way to enter this line is by taking a right on to Marinette Dr heading west from Bellaire Blvd. There will be no left turn option or any other for vehicle line entrance, and this is so optimal traffic control and appropriate routing may occur. The walk-up location and entrance will be on Clarewood Dr between Marinette and Reims Rd. Also, please be advised that lines will not be permitted to form earlier than 10:45 am.
If you have the spirit and want to volunteer please email [email protected] and additional instructions will be provided.
Out of immense appreciation we want to recognize and give a huge special thanks to Fred Bhandara and the Ardenwood Group, Kenneth Li and Alice Lee with the Southwest Management District, PlazAmericas Mall and Kenneth Katz, the Houston Foodbank, the Houston Police Department, SEAL Security, Houston Public Works, and the Memorial Hermann Health System for coordinating with the District J Office in making this event possible.
This gracious act of kindness during times like these show that together we are HOUSTON STRONG.
