On Wednesday, February 26th, 2020, State Representative Gene Wu, Be The Match, LifeGift, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, Legacy Community Health, and the HOPE Clinic will host a press conference to celebrate the first annual Blood, Bone Marrow, and Organ Donation Day in Texas. During the 86th legislative session, Representative Wu passed HCR 42, designating February 26th as “Donor Day” in the State of Texas. Representative Wu will be joined by allied organizations, and families of donors and recipients who will share donor stories, and discuss how our shared mission of increasing donations can help save lives.
