Did you know that 1.5 million people of Asian descent call Houston home? But how did they get here? AARP Texas Executive Councilmember Dr. Beverly Gor, Ed.D and Dr. Anne Chao, Ph.D., Manager of Rice University’s Houston Asian American Archives (HAAA), will discuss that migration. They will use stories from Rice University’s Houston Asian American Archive to narrate the immigration experiences of multiple generations of Asians.
The Texas Primary Runoff Election is May 24. A new state law has changed voting in Texas, including changes to mail-in voting. Know the when, where and how. Then vote. Make sure you’re up to date on voting procedures.
