Introducing the Police Transparency Dashboard
Last year, I championed an idea to create a mechanism for the public to file and track complaints of police misconduct online, as well as house relevant HPD data and policy to ensure we held officers accountable for their actions. I wanted to make filing complaints and getting information on our police department more accessible. After months of hard work, the City has launched the first of its kind Police Transparency Dashboard.
I want to thank Mayor Turner, members of the Task Force on Police Reform, HITS, HPD, my council colleagues, and stakeholders for helping bring my vision to life.
