Fairways at Westwood, LP is making an application requesting 9% Housing Tax Credits (HTC) with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for the proposed multifamily development Fairway at Westwood to be located at or about 9745 Bissonnet St, Houston, TX 77036, Harris County. This New Construction apartment community will comprised of approximately 120 units, all of which will be available for low-income individuals, and approximately 24 apartment units per acre.
In the spring, the Department will hold public hearings in various locations around the state to gather input on competitive HTC applications; comments can be made on any and all applications at each hearing. The hearing schedule along with contact information for written public comment will be posted on TDHCA’s Public Comment Center website later this year (https://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/public-comment.htm). TDHCA also allows opportunities for public comment during roundtables and online forums. Furthermore, TDHCA holds monthly meetings of the Department’s Governing Board, during which opportunities for public comment is available.
The application process for the 9% Housing Tax Credits commences in early January 2021, and will require months of information gathering and review before an allocation of tax credits is finally approved.
