USPS unveils Year of The Boar commemorative ‘Forever’ stamp at Chinese Community Center

HOUSTON, TX—On Thursday, January 17, 2019, Luke Grossmann, Vice President, Finance and Planning, U.S. Postal Service, along with Leigh Smith of the Houston Arts Alliance Board Chair, Y.Ping Sun of Rice University Representative of Council, Yetter Coleman, LLP and artist Kam Mak unveiled the 12th and last stamp in the Lunar New Year Series at the Chinese Community Center (CCC), located at 9800 Town Park Drive, Houston, TX 77036. Houston was chosen as the city for the First Day of Issue Dedication Ceremony due to its rich diversity and vibrant Asian American population. Master of Ceremonies, Miya Shay, said how this stamp shows that the Chinese culture is a part of the American culture.
