Sharpstown Civic AssociationMayor Annise Parker and Challenger Ben Hall have confirmed their attendance at the SCA's Candidate Forum to be held on Thursday, Sept. 26th. The program, sponsored by the Association's Government Relations Committee, will be held at the Bayland Community Center, 6400 Bissonnet Street, Houston, Texas 77074, at 6:30 pm. The program should last about 90 minutes and a capacity crowd of three hundred (300) is expected. The doors will open at 6:00 pm and Sharpstown residents should arrive early to ensure a seat.

"We are pleased that Mayor Parker and Ben Hall, along with Controller Green and all the candidates, will speak directly to our residents," said Jim Bigham, SCA President. "With over 15,000 registered voters in the seven precincts that comprise the subdivision, Sharpstown has the ability to impact every city-wide race, and we intend to do so."

Candidates will provide remarks and accept questions from the moderator as time permits. Those questions will come directly from the Sharpstown neighbors that have submitted them via cards supplied at the event.

The Sharpstown Subdivision boundaries cover precincts 296, 426, 256, 297, 311, 427, & 284. With more than 6,800 single-family residences in zip codes 77036 & 77074, Sharpstown voters can have a major impact on city wide races.
