Downtown Houston Festivities

The Mayor's Official 4th of July Celebration continues a decades-long Houston tradition.
The yearly six-hour event will be located in the newly renovated Eleanor Tinsley Park on Buffalo Bayou. The event has become Houston's signature annual Independence Day celebration and attracts nationally recognized recording artists as well as regional and local talent.

C.A.R.E. Celebration
The annual Chinese American Relief Effort (C.A.R.E.) Independence Day celebration will be held at the Chinese Community Center on Friday, July 4th, from 11:00am - 4:00pm.

There will be food booths & entertainment. Proceeds benefit the School Supplies Project in August 2014 for the students attending Ed White Elementary and Benavidez Elementary in the Greater Sharpstown District.

C.A.R.E. HoustonC.A.R.E. Schools Selected
The annual Chinese American Relief Effort (C.A.R.E.) has selected the Benavidez Elementary school and the Edward White Elementary School to aid for the 2014 School Supplies Project. Both schools are 98% low income families and include 1720 students total. C.A.R.E. will provide each enrolled student with school supplies for an entire school year!
