Three St. Agnes Students Named to National Academic Squad

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association has named three St. Agnes students to the 2013 National Academic Squad: Alice Linesch, Angie Nowling, and Vivien Vu. New in 2013 for NFHCA, the High School National Academic Squad program recognizes high school seniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2013-14 school year, making the athletes Scholars of Distinction.

H-GAC Hosts Bike Friendly Workshop

H-GAC Bike Friendly WorkshopH-GAC, with the League of American Bicyclists and Bike Texas, will host Bike Friendly - Region, Communities and Businesses, a half-day workshop featuring presentations by prominent local and national experts. This workshop will feature information about becoming more bike friendly within our region. A dynamic group of speakers will be led by Bill Nesper, Vice President of Programs for the League of American Bicyclists.

Houston National College Fair 2014

The Houston National College Fair is a free, annual fair for all students. High school students, parents, adult students, graduate students and veterans, will receive tools to help their transition to college. Attendees meet with national college admission representatives, receive resources to support the college preparation and search process, as well as help applying, and paying for college. Approximately 300 counselors and representatives from colleges and universities' meet with students and their families to discuss admission and financial aid opportunities. Informational workshops will also be held.

Bellaire Construction Update:

On Monday, 02/10/2014, the contractor closed the left turn lane at the intersection of Gessner and Bellaire.

In addition, the contractor will close the left turn lane at Corporate and Bellaire on Monday, 02/17/2014.

The Left Turn Lane closures will last approximately 30 to 45 days.

Contractor is completing the installation of storm sewer, paving the road, as well as the installation of pavers.

Please allow extra travel time, or find alternate routes to arrive safely at your destinations.
